DTF Help Center

Everything you need to know before ordering: DTF printing, gang sheets, artwork setup, heat press instructions, washing care, and print & press FAQs.

01

What is DTF Printing?

DTF stands for Direct to Film. Your design is printed onto a special transfer film, finished with adhesive powder, and heat pressed onto apparel or fabric items.

It is great for custom shirts, business merch, uniforms, gifts, hats, and detailed full-color designs.

02

How DTF Printing Works

You upload your artwork, we print it onto transfer film, cure it, and send it ready to press. You can press the design at home or order a finished printed shirt from us.

DTF works on many fabrics and does not require cutting or weeding like vinyl.

03

Artwork Requirements

  • Upload high-quality PNG files with transparent background.
  • Recommended resolution: 300 DPI.
  • Make sure your design is already sized correctly.
  • Avoid blurry screenshots or low-resolution images.
  • Remove unwanted background before uploading.
04

Heat Press Instructions

  • Temperature: 300°F – 320°F
  • Time: 10–15 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium to firm
  • Peel: Let cool, then peel slowly
  • Second press: 5 seconds with parchment paper or Teflon sheet

Always test press first because every heat press can be slightly different.

Gang Sheet FAQs

What is a gang sheet?
A gang sheet lets you place multiple designs on one large sheet to save space and money.

Do you resize my designs?
Please upload your designs at the size you want them printed.

Can I mix different designs?
Yes. You can add logos, names, graphics, and multiple sizes on the same sheet.

07

Washing & Care

  • Wash inside out.
  • Use cold water.
  • Avoid bleach.
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry.
  • Do not iron directly on the design.
